We’re excited to welcome you all back to Main Street!!!
The parade will begin promptly at 5pm in front of Setauket Elementary School.
The parade is a RAIN or SHINE event! We will only cancel the parade if there is “dangerous weather”. If that happens, there is NO RAIN DATE.
There will be a parade pre-party at the firehouse from 4pm until the start of the parade. Our Grand Marshal, David Prestia of Bagel Express, is providing free hot cocoa for the crowd. We also have free cookies from Dortoni Bakery. There will be a live DJ and performances by the high school jazz band and dancers from Shine Dance Studio. Come early to the parade to kick off the celebration!
Route 25A will be closed at approximately 4:45 from the firehouse to Setauket Pond Park at Shore Road. DO NOT DRIVE DOWN THE PARADE ROUTE AFTER THE STREET IS CLOSED! Plan where you want to watch from and park in advance. We will have some bleachers from the town in the parking lot of the Pen & Pencil building.
We ask that parade participants NOT throw candy to the crowd to prevent children from running into the street to retrieve it. Please be mindful that vehicles in the parade are focused on the trailers they’re pulling and their distance from the group in front of them. . . they often can’t see if people are running up to their sides and are near their tires.
Please be mindful of younger viewers, and please don’t cross the street during the parade.
We hope you enjoy the parade!
